The HSE Coordinator at DMS Hydronic Ltd. will play a pivotal role in ensuring compliance with our Health, Safety, and Environment Management Program, Occupational Health, and Safety legislation, and client-specific requirements. This role is based at our Burnaby, BC office from Monday to Friday and involves site visits in Metro Vancouver.

**Responsibilities**
- Provides guidance to team members on environmental and health matters, escalating inquiries where necessary.
- Coordinates the implementation of environmental, health, and safety programs, including related processes, procedures, and resources.
- Participates in field inspections, job observations, health, safety, and environment audits, and other types of reviews to monitor and ensure compliance with environmental and health regulations, policies, procedures, and identify risks.
- Ensures all required HS&E documentation (subcontractor documentation, health and safety inspections, audits, daily hazard assessments, toolbox talks, safe work procedures, and meeting minutes) are effectively organized and copies are shared with the appropriate groups.
- Reviews incident reports, monthly statistics, inspection reports, and can identify undesirable trends and provide appropriate recommendations.
- Maintains site HSE statistics.
- Liaises between clients and managers regarding HSE concerns.
- Facilitates orientation and training for site staff and manages COR program documentation.
- Keeps management informed of any issues impacting work performance.
- Performs other duties as assigned by site management.

**Requirements**:

- Minimum 3 - 5 years’ experience in the construction industry in a Health and Safety role.
- Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of all federal and provincial rules and regulations pertaining to safety codes and Occupational Health & Safety (OH&S) rules.
- Strong knowledge of WorkSafe BC legislation.
- Valid Level 2 or 3 First Aid certificate.
- Valid Driver's License with a Clean Driver’s Abstract.
- Knowledge of local government Health & Safety Acts, Policies, Regulations, and Industry
