**Job Summary**:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Security Specialist to join our team. As a Security Specialist, you will be responsible for installing and maintaining a variety of intrusion alarm systems, access control & surveillance systems.

**Responsibilities**:

- Install, maintain, and repair security systems including alarms, access control systems, and surveillance cameras
- Installation includes wiring, mounting of devices & hardware, network/IP setup and programming.
- Installation & service of access control systems and associated door hardware.
- Troubleshooting & diagnosing system issues; repairing system issues.
- Maintain accurate records of installations, inspections, maintenance & repairs.
- Train & educate end users on the functionality & use of installed systems

**Qualifications**:

- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Additional certifications related to security systems an asset
- Proven experience as a Security Specialist or similar role
- Strong interest in technology & electronics
- Strong knowledge of low voltage systems, blueprint reading, power tools, hand tools, CCTV, schematics, and computer hardware
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship
- Ability to work well under pressure
- Valid driver's license & reliable vehicle
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Physical ability to climb ladders, work at heights, lift & carry up to 50lbs

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $20.00-$35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 50 per week

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Monday to Friday
- Morning shift
- On call
- Overtime
- Weekends as needed

Supplemental pay types:

- Overtime pay

**Experience**:

- alarm technician: 1 year (preferred)

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Edmonton, AB T6K 3S8
