We are currently seeking a "Quality Assurance Inspector" for our Nisku, AB manufacturing plant. **Shift work will be required including Day Shift (6am - 2:30pm) and Afternoon Shift (2:30pm - 11:00pm)** **Responsibilities and Tasks include**: - Support the Quality Assurance Supervisor with general quality control activities throughout the production process. - Responsible for quality control activities throughout the supply chain: acceptance of incoming chemicals, packaging materials, work in process and finished goods as well as non-conforming materials and products. - Responsible for performing test, measurement, calibration verification activities to meet ASTM and ISO 17025 management and technical requirements. - Assist in support and adherence of company environmental, health and safety policies. - Provide quality inspections or analysis of bulk and non-bulk materials for receiving. - Conduct inspection and tests for work in process (batches) and finished goods to determine conformance to specifications and meet regulatory and statutory requirements. - Conduct acceptance testing for incoming chemicals and packaging materials based on procedures. - Preparing monthly production line efficiency, SPC reports, waste water logs, filling and blow molding performance logs/charts, OTD and FR, as per schedules - Maintaining quality records in proper order and providing proof of traceability of finished products to incoming materials and processes it underwent. - Conduct calibration, calibration verification activities on production and laboratory test and measurement equipment to ensure that these are fit for use. - Assist with non-conformance investigations and customer complaints. - Assist with internal quality auditing - Other duties as assigned. **Education and Experience**: - College Certificate or Diploma from a Chemical or Chemical Engineering Technology program or equivalent training and experience. - Previous quality control experience in manufacturing environment would be an asset. - Excellent written and oral communications skills. - Good working knowledge of Microsoft office programs such as word, excel and outlook. - Basic understanding and use of Powerlink to obtain data relevant for QC activities: evaluation of stock rotations, shipment details (pick list) among others. - Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in English, both written and verbal. - Good eye for detail combined with strong mathematical and analytical and problem solving skills. - Understanding of wet chemistry and lab equipment used for testing and analyzing **Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent **Salary**: From $27.00 per hour Additional pay: - Bonus pay - Overtime pay **Benefits**: - Casual dress - Company events - Dental care - Disability insurance - Discounted or free food - Employee assistance program - Extended health care - Life insurance - Paid time off Schedule: - 8 hour shift - Day shift - Evening shift Ability to commute/relocate: - Nisku, AB: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required) Shift availability: - Day Shift (required) - Night Shift (required)
