Tomlinson is looking for a Plant Foreman to lead our Petawawa Ready Mix Plant. This role is responsible for all truck and plant daily operational activities.

**Job Location**: 633 Doran Rd, Pembroke, ON

**PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Ensures employees and equipment are to work location on time daily
- Ensures morale is maximized through daily interactions
- Verifies employee attendance and replaces if necessary
- Responsible for staff vacation allowances and time-off request
- Responsible for hiring new plant staff and ensuring our training plans are completed
- Reviews hours worked for accuracy prior to submission to payroll
- Daily job site visits to ensure maximum efficiencies, concrete quality and customer needs are met
- Performs plant preventative maintenance and communicates maintenance issues to management
- Coordinates maintenance contractors and vendors
- Assists garage supervisors in scheduling of maintenance and repairs for trucks
- Liaises between the management team, Dispatch team and the plant team
- Conducts and documents Health & Safety meetings
- Conducts performance evaluations,
- Writing up disciplinary actions in an unbiased, consistent manner following company procedures

**ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Follows up with Health & Safety to ensure new employee orientation has been conducted
- Completes accident and incident reports and files with the H&S officer
- Conduct pre-delivery meetings to ensure concrete deliveries run smoothly
- Provide on-site support for drivers and customers to address issues
- Monitors license compliance with our CVOR compliance team
- Acts as back-up support for dispatch/batching during vacations and may provide back-up for other roles within the division
- Any special projects or additional requirements as necessary

**WORKING CONDITIONS**
- The working conditions require the ability to work in all weather conditions
- Heavy lifting required - up to 50 lbs.
- On call to handle/dispatch emergencies for customers and drivers

**EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE**
- Previous supervisory experience
- Previous concrete experience
- DZ license - Preferred
- Industrial maintenance experience - Preferred
- Comfortable presenting to large groups of people
- Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to make independent decisions
- Working knowledge of MTO regulatory requirements
