Independent Headstone

**Overview**
**About Us**: We are an established funeral supply business expanding our services to include high-quality headstones and monuments. We are looking for an experienced, reliable **Independent Contractor** to partner with us for professional installations at cemeteries throughout GT.A..

**The Role**: This is a **contract-based position (paid per project)**. You will be responsible for the safe delivery and precise installation of granite monuments and markers. This role is ideal for an existing monument installer or a general contractor with heavy-lifting capabilities looking to add consistent work to their schedule.

**Responsibilities**:

- Pick up monuments from our facility and transport them to the cemetery site.
- Coordinate with cemetery staff to ensure compliance with all specific cemetery regulations and foundation requirements.
- Perform installation of bases and tablets (dies), ensuring they are perfectly leveled and sealed.
- Handle foundation work (digging/pouring concrete) when required.
- Ensure the site is clean and respectable upon completion.
- Provide photos of the finished installation for our records.

**Qualifications (Must Have)**:

- **Experience**: Proven experience in monument installation, masonry, or heavy stone setting is highly preferred.
- **Equipment**:You must own your own truck and lifting equipment** (e.g., Boom truck, Gantry crane, or Mobile hoist) capable of handling heavy granite stones safely. We do not provide installation vehicles.
- **License**: Valid Driver’s License and a clean driving record.
- **Insurance**: Must carry valid General Liability Insurance (or be willing to obtain it).
- **Attention to Detail**: Ability to install with precision and respect for the environment.

**Job Type**: Freelance

Pay: $17.20-$38.84 per hour
