**1. About Us**
- We have been making drapery for wholesale and retail clients for 30 years._
- Drapery Trends is a high-end soft window treatment manufacturer. We manufacture a variety of window treatments for wholesale and retail clients. We specialize in window coverings such as drapery, valances, roman shades etc. Anything that is home decorating except for upholstery. Our manufacturing facility is over 4000 sq. ft and we ship our product across Canada.

**2. Job Description**
- While you are being trained you need to expect some correction and criticism of your work until such time you have gained enough experience that this won’t be necessary. There is a learning curve and a positive attitude will be beneficial.
- A creative flair is an asset
- Strong attention to detail is very important. We are a high-end drapery workroom and our cliental expect top notch work.
- We also have production deadlines that you will need to meet. You will be coached to meet these deadlines. All deadlines are achievable once you become fully trained.
- We are a small group here a positive attitude, being a team player and having pride in your work is very important to us. We enjoy having a pleasant work environment and because we are a small group we need to get along well.
- Math skills will be very important. There will be a lot of calculating of yardages, fullness factors, length measurements etc. You will be trained but you must be comfortable with math.
- We are a professional high-end workroom. We are set up for production and there is a nice flow of work. All of our equipment is up to date and industrial grade. Our cliental are designers and decorators from across Canada.
- There will be some light shipping and receiving duties on occasion.
- We are a small business and we will require that you do a variety of duties the help keep the workroom tidy such as cleaning the bathroom, sweeping the floors, cleaning the sewing machines, cutting drapery hardware and whatever else is necessary to keep the workroom functioning smoothly. This is a team environment and we all participate in these duties.

**3. Requirements / Preferred Qualifications**
- Some sewing experience would be an asset but not completely necessary.
- You MUST love sewing.
- You need to have strong math skills.
- You need to have the ability to lift and move heavy drapery. There will always be assistance from other coworkers to help with the heavy lifting.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
