**Position Overview**:
The Warehouse Associate is responsible for picking customer orders and delivering them to the delivery platform while maintaining the warehouse in a safe and orderly fashion.

**Location**: Oakville Branch

**Responsibilities**:

- Responsible for working safely and efficiently in a team environment
- Responsible for final inspection of goods leaving the building
- Responsible for working safely and efficiently in a team environment
- Responsible for loading, and unloading trucks/trailers
- Responsible for placing stock in designated locations
- Responsible for housekeeping of Warehouse
- Adequate knowledge of warehouse data system
- Responsible for organization and cleanliness of the warehouse
- Maintains exterior walkways, parking areas
- Responsible for handling shipping/receiving duties as may be assigned
- Operates lift trucks, power walkies, pump trucks, and Order Picking machine
- Responsible for safe operation of equipment
- Adhering to all company and health and safety policies and procedures
- Answers to Warehouse Manager/ Warehouse Shift Supervisor
- Communicates with drivers for deliveries or pick ups
- Takes daily direction from Warehouse Shift Supervisor
- Other duties as assigned

**Qualifications**:

- Job tasks call for a basic level of acquired knowledge in warehousing
- Raymond Reach Certification and Experience considered an asset
- Commitment to accuracy and detail oriented
- Ability to obtain WHMIS and Transportation of Dangerous Good Certificate (training & testing)
- Job calls for ability to handle powered machinery
- Job calls for ability to do basic math, and ability to problem solve
- Minimum Grade 12 education

**Physical Demands/Working Conditions**:

- Conditions may cause some stress or physical discomfort due to exposure to: repetitive lifting, temperature variations, handling chemicals, moving product in excess of 50lbs, time constraints, noise.
- High intensity physical activities add up to and average of six to seven hours a day
- Frequent exposure to moderately disagreeable internal and external conditions
- Works in heated but not air-conditioned environment
- Work is performed while standing, sitting and/or walking
- Requires bending, squatting, crawling, climbing and reaching
- Ability to perform under pressure and work in a fast-paced environment
