Westland Insurance Group Ltd is growing and has a new opportunity for an HR Operations Coordinator working remotely or in our Hybrid work model in Surrey, BC. The HR Operations Coordinator is the initial point of contact for Westland’s employee and manager people and performance inquiries. The HR Operations Coordinator is well versed in HR employment policies and programs, Total Rewards, HR administration and provides initial HR advice and guidance.
Working within a best-in-class HR service model, the HR Coordinator will provide trusted, timely and professional HR service in partnership with People and Performance Operations, Talent Acquisition, Learning and Development, Payroll and Benefits and our Talent Development teams.

**The Opportunity**:
**In this role you’ll**:
- Manage the People & Performance mailbox, advising and responding to general policy and program questions from Westland employees and managers.
- Provide initial support for the HRIS system (Dayforce) including profile set up, basic user training, system inquiries and/or technical issues.
- Pull reports from Dayforce (HRIS) for various user groups as needed and completes monthly audits to ensure employee data is correct.
- Assist HR Advisors with employee position changes, employment transactions and employment agreement amendments.
- Assist Talent Acquisition with recruitment administration.
- Support employee and manager onboarding, ensuring appropriate access and training is provided.
- Support the Mergers & Acquisition team with employee profile system set up, employment agreement preparation, training and onboarding.
- Respond to inquiries for employment/wage information and prepares employment verification and immigration letters.
- Assist our Learning & Development Team in managing enrolment and coordinating logistics for various training sessions and meetings.
- Contribute to our team culture through coordinating team social functions and activities.
- Support HR Leadership team with the creation of PowerPoint presentations, communications, and other documents as needed.
- Conduct research on a variety of HR-related topics as required, such as updates to the Employee Handbook to ensure policy compliance.
- Other HR Administration tasks assigned.
**Here's what you bring**:
- Post-secondary degree or diploma in business, human resources, or related field.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in an administrator or coordinator role, preferably HR.
- Advanced MS Office skills (specifically Sharepoint, Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and a steady volume of requests.
- Professional, business focused written and verbal communication skills.
