**Day Shift - Galvanizing Labourer**

**Company**: Sureway Group of Companies, NEW Galvanizing Division will be providing Hot Dip galvanizing services to Steel Fabricators, Oil and Energy, Construction, and Infrastructure clients throughout Canada. Established in 1970 the Sureway Group of Companies has been operating as a full-service steel fabricator, metal service center and structural materials warehouse. Although Sureway has been in business for over 50 years, we are an ever changing, innovative company.

Your main responsibilities will be required to:

- **To receive, inspect material for vent locations, organize, rack and tag client supplied materials**:

- **Operate loading and offloading equipment**:

- **Use various electric and hand tools**

**On a day-to-day basis, you will be expected to**:

- Receive, inspect, and sort steel into racking and suspending equipment to be processed through the galvanization process
- Conduct a final inspection for completeness of galvanizing and ensure a proper thickness in the coating by using a magnetic thickness testing device.
- Use hand tools, to clean off excess zinc and perform touch-ups as required
- Sort and package customer orders for pick up
- Perform regular maintenance and housekeeping duties as required

**Requirements and Qualifications**: You will be a highly motivated team leader that thrives in a fast-paced environment with exceptional communication skills. You will have experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment. You will have demonstrated strong skills in time management, organization, leadership, communication, and safety. Available to work shifts that may include weekends and evenings. Must be able to bend, twist, kneel and stand while completing tasks. Must be able to wear the required personal protective equipment as required (long pants, long sleeved shirt, safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, metatarsal shoes, hard hat with a face shield, and other PPE as directed).

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $20.00-$23.00 per hour
