Security Technician

**We are seeking a junior, mid and senior experienced Installation and service technician with understanding of access control, IP CCTV cameras systems, software and networks.**

Must be able to maintain the highest quality standards while installing, servicing, diagnosing/troubleshooting, repairing and maintaining analog and digital / IP CCTV camera systems, access control systems, intercoms, DVR / NVR video matrix software.

**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Replacement of / repair of analog and digital hardware
- Experience with cabling (Install, fish, dress, cross connect and terminate UTP, co-axial and fibre cable)
- Troubleshooting software and networking issues
- Testing equipment, connections, and signals; identify and correct problems.
- Installing basic video systems and digital cameras
- Configuring and programming DVR units
- Run and pull wire; program and calibrate equipment; adhere to codes, regulations, and standards
- Knowledge of video security systems, access control systems, analog and electronics technology
- Setting up and troubleshooting software / network issues and devices in networking environments
- Installing, servicing, diagnosing / troubleshooting, repairing and maintaining intrusion alarm systems, intercoms, automatic doors operators is an asset

**Qualifications**
- Must be computer literate, have networking ability and a good knowledge of operating systems
- Demonstrated exceptional customer service and leadership skills
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Ability to lift up to 50-70 pounds and climb ladders
- Mechanical aptitude and be able to use hand and power tools
- Experience in the installation and maintenance of camera, access control systems and servicing digital IP / analog CCTV cameras and installation / maintenance of commercial security systems
- Certification on Electronic Security Systems by Manufacturers or CANASA is an asset
- Language: Speak, Read and Write English (French is an asset)
- Security: Eligibility for security clearance
- Drivers Licence: Valid
