**Position Summary**:
The Field Service Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of various types of electrical and mechanical equipment on commercial and industrial buildings and on public sites. This role will primarily be working in the Field.
- Previous experience as a service technician preferred.
- Must have valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
- Maintenance and servicing of commercial and residential power generation units
- Diagnosing and Repairing Diesel and Natural Gas/Propane engines as well as Generator Alternator issues, transfer, and switch gear issues
- Sourcing parts or solutions to diagnose problems.
- Delivery and commissioning of new equipment (placement, set up, programming)
- Working on Projects that encompass Generator and its Support System upgrade.
- Diesel Fuel System Repairs and Upgrades
- Servicing, Repairing and Calibrating Mig, Tig and Gas Welding Equipment
- In the Field Servicing and Travel in Southeastern Ontario
- In the shop diagnosing and repairs
- Sourcing parts or solutions to diagnose problems.

Must be able to work alone or with mínimal supervision in a fast-paced environment, meet deadlines and work well with others.

- Experience working as a power generation technician or licensed industrial/commercial electrician OR experience working as a military EGS (emergency generator systems) Technician.
- Field service experience working on generators, generator maintenance, repairs, troubleshooting, etc.
- **Ideally, we are looking for a** Provincially licensed and/or certified Tradesperson, a Licensed Heavy Equipment or Truck and Coach Technician, Industrial Electrician or Instrumentation Technician or a Licensed Petroleum Mechanic or Licensed Petroleum Mechanic Helper

Alongside your technical skills, you’ll also bring with solid communication and people skills for working with customers.

**Salary**: From $35.00 per hour
