Kenora Home Hardware Building Centre is looking for an **Assistant Head Cashier** who combines flawless point-of-sale accuracy with warm, solutions-oriented customer service. If you love balancing tills as much as brightening someone’s day, we want you on our team.

What You’ll Do
- **POS Mastery** - Process cash, credit, debit, gift-card, and house-charge transactions quickly and accurately; reconcile daily sales.
- **Customer Champion** - Greet every customer, answer phones, confirm prices, and resolve issues so shoppers leave smiling.
- **Merchandising & Promotion** - Maintain tidy check-out displays, update price flyers, and place promotional orders.
- **Team Support** - Train new cashiers, page staff over the PA system, and jump in on special projects from the Head Cashier or management.
- **Loss Prevention** - Stay alert for shoplifting and follow established procedures to protect inventory.
- **Open / Close** - Balance tills, prepare deposits, and secure the front end in line with company policy.

What You Bring
- High-school diploma (or equivalent); retail cashier experience is a strong asset.
- Proven speed and accuracy on POS systems; solid math skills for balancing cash and credit reconciliations.
- Friendly, professional communication style—face-to-face and over the phone.
- Flexibility to work **days, evenings, weekends, and holidays**.
- Team mindset and a knack for coaching peers.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs when merchandising front-end displays.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 45 per week
