Goodness Me is currently seeking an experienced and customer-focused, full-time Fresh Foods Department Manager (Produce & Bulk) for our Burlington store location.

**Your day-to-day**:
Reporting to the Store Manager, you will be responsible to lead and manage daily operations of the Fresh Foods Department (the Produce, Bread and Bulk departments), with a focus on sales, labour, and waste targets.

**Other duties and tasks may include**:

- Interviewing and onboarding new team members
- Monitoring and evaluating team members performance including executing performance management conversations.
- Assisting in rolling out new policies and ensuring that team members are compliant.
- Motivating and inspiring team members and facilitating personal growth.
- Ensuring high levels of productivity are maintained.
- Maintain a high level of product and service knowledge.
- Participate in merchandising and promotional activities.
- Assist with inventory management.
- Ensure store conditions are consistently upheld to established standards.

**What you bring**:

- 3-5 years of management experience
- Experience in maintaining operational excellence in retail stores (payroll, shrink and inventory management, etc)
- A solid understanding of sales forecasts for establishing key targets for the department
- A strong work ethic and a ‘can-do’ attitude
- Ability to work primarily daytime shifts, with evening/weekend availability
