**About the Role**:
The Prevention and Education Advocate plays a key role in CEASE’s mission by designing and delivering education and awareness programs that prevent sexual exploitation, trafficking, and gender-based violence. This role focuses on public engagement, youth and family education, professional training, and systems advocacy. The Advocate works collaboratively with internal teams and community partners to shift attitudes, build capacity, and inspire action. This position requires the ability to work a flexible schedule that includes evenings and weekends.

**Responsibilities**:
**Education & Awareness**
- Develop and deliver engaging presentations, workshops, and training sessions for schools, youth groups, service providers, and the broader community.
- Tailor educational content to diverse audiences including newcomers, Indigenous communities, LGBTQ2S+ populations, and professionals in justice, healthcare, and education.
- Collaborate with survivors to co-develop content that centers lived experience, resilience, and strengths-based messaging.
**Prevention Programming**
- Coordinate and facilitate youth prevention programs that focus on healthy relationships, online safety, consent, and exploitation awareness.
- Work with families and caregivers to build protective factors and improve communication around exploitation risks.
- Support the integration of cultural safety and trauma-informed practices into all prevention work.
**Community Engagement & Capacity Building**
- Build and maintain partnerships with community agencies, schools, and stakeholders.
- Represent CEASE at community events, conferences, and advocacy tables.
- Distribute educational materials, toolkits, and resources in collaboration with the communications team.
**Program Administration**
- Track participation, collect feedback, and report on program outcomes.
- Contribute to grant reporting, data collection, and evaluation activities.
- Support outreach efforts in Body Rub Centres and at-risk neighborhoods as needed.
**Qualifications**:
- Diploma or degree in Social Work, Education, Public Health, or a related field, or equivalent lived/professional experience.
- Strong facilitation and public speaking skills with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
- Understanding of the root causes and impacts of sexual exploitation, human trafficking, and gender-based violence.
- Intermediate level of proficiency in Microsoft Office and participant database (ACCESS)
- Commitment to anti-oppressive, trauma-informed, and culturally respectful practices.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a demonstrated ability to build strong, trusting relationships with participants, team members, and external service providers
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings or weekends when required.
- Experience working with vulnerable populations, including youth, immigrants, and Indigenous peoples is an asset
- Knowledge of harm reduction, digital safety, or sexual health education is an asset
- Valid Driver’s License and access to a reliable vehicle
