We are looking for a bright, motivated team player to join us, and fill the role of CNC Plasma/Oxy-Fuel Operator.

**Description of Roll**

A CNC Plasma/Oxy-Fuel Operator is part of the production team. Involved in project discussions, communicating with the design department, CNC programmer and plant manager, planning production, the CNC Plasma/Oxy-Fuel Operator produces high quality profile cut parts. The machine that you will operate and maintain is a Messer Titan 3 gantry with one Hypertherm 400amp high-definition plasma head and five Alfa Oxyfuel cutting torches. Operating over a 11’x88’ downdraft cutting table the machine utilizes the Messer Global Control and Omni Win cutting and nesting software. Installed in March of 2021, the machine is in as new condition and includes the latest in technologies. The CNC Plasma/Oxy-Fuel Operator works primarily under the direction of the Plant Manager.

**Responsibilities and Duties**

As a CNC Plasma/Oxy-Fuel Operator your duties will include:

- Reading and understanding fabrication part drawings
- Uploading cutting nests, machine set-up, tool changes and maintenance
- Unloading plate from trucks, loading plate onto the table, unloading parts from the table using overhead cranes
- Quality control checks, de-burring, labeling, packaging of finished parts
- Working with the CNC Programmer, Plant Manager, and in-house Fabricators

**Qualifications and Skills**
- A positive, can-do attitude with excellent communication skills, a willingness to learn and share new ideas
- Organized, self-motivated, able to multi-task and manage time efficiently
- Must be computer literate, able to navigate windows based folders to access cut files/parts nests
- Have experience as a CNC operator
- Have experience in the steel industry and or in a similar role
- Have experience with Messer Global Control and Omni Win software

Hourly Rate: $24-30/hour

Pay: $24.00-$30.00 per hour
