**Medical Science Liaison (MSL) ONTARIO/MANITOBA/SASKATCHEWAN - Ophthalmology**

Overall Objective:
The Medical Science Liaison (MSL) is responsible for providing a variety of external and internal customers with medical and scientific information on the appropriate utilization of Cequa and eventually other ophthalmic brands with more general information about their therapeutic area and disease state. This field-based position will proactively build healthcare provider support, by using a scientific approach that is aligned with the Brand Team objectives and therapeutic area Medical Plan. The MSL will need to be a credible and valued representative of Sun Pharma leading in a variety of interactions, which include face to face and Peer to Peer (examples: ad boards, CME, etc.) with key stakeholders across their regions. The MSLs will engage with the eye care professionals including but not limited to ophthalmologists, optometrists and local Regional Ophthalmology groups who are in clinical practice caring for dry eye patients, and who are actively engaged in using prescription treatments for the care of their dry eye patients. They will be trained to respond to complex inquiries in a scientific, fair-balanced, compliant manner serving as a critical field medical resource to these HCPs and also, internal SUN sales and market access constituents.

The MSL will develop strategies to develop selected HCPs as Key Opinion Leaders depending on their specific interests, enthusiasm for, or experience with our products.
- Communicate complex scientific information, provide services if appropriate like slides, scientific literature acquisition, and or PSP service offerings, and research concepts to HCPs

This will be done in collaboration with the Medical Advisor along with the commercial team and will involve identifying a focus of effort and the metrics for customer calls. The plan will have to be dynamic with respect to the specific brand, territory and the life cycle of the product line. That is, the focus of effort may vary from time to time and the territory plan will have to be flexible to accommodate for this.
- As part of this plan, together with Marketing, the National CME Provider, and with input from the Sales Representatives, develop a regional Peer to Peer Engagement plan, and jointly execute in a timely manner on budget as a team
- The MSL will play a critical role in internal training and communication with the Medical, Brand Team and territory managers. Knowledge sharing, including opinion leader and site profiling, and education both internally and externally will be a key area of responsibility.
