**JOB SUMMARY**
Assigned to one or more operations intended for the manufacture of contact lenses
(Training takes place during the first three months on the job.)
**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS**
- Operation of CNC lathes to perform front and back cutting of contact lenses
- Calculations of compensation of cutting measures (Base in machining an asset)
- Ability to work with a computer
- Polishing, lens finishing
- Inspection
- Other related tasks
**POSITION QUALIFICATIONS**
- KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES_
- Conscientious
- Desire to learn several related tasks
- Likes detail work
- Attention to detail
- Easy to concentrate
- Basic knowledge of using a computer
- Experience in a laboratory type environment an asset.
- Experience in optometry an asset
- WORK ENVIRONMENT_
- Clean and air-conditioned environment (Office-type environment)
- Standing and sitting working position
- EDUCATION_
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- EXPERIENCE_
- Experience in a field where manufacturing with CNC machines is used is an asset.
