**What We Need**:
As our Technician Extern in Pharmacy, you will receive practical, hands-on experience in a real-world setting, working alongside dedicated and compassionate professionals learning the ins and outs of daily hospital pharmacy operations. You will be responsible for the technical and administrative functions related to unit dose dispensing, and prepackaging. At the end of the contract, the Technician Extern - Pharmacy may be offered an opportunity to complete assignments and tasks as required by the Ontario College of Pharmacists for completion of the SPT program for Pharmacy Technicians.
Oak Valley Health is looking for Technician Externs for Pharmacy, this is aligned with, but not part of, the Ministry of Health's Enhanced Extern Program.

**Qualifications**:

- Current enrollment in a Pharmacy Technician program from an accredited community college
- Some related pharmacy experience preferred
- Demonstrated ability to recognize limitations of scope of practice
- Demonstrated knowledge of drugs
- Typing and computer experience an asset
- Other duties as assigned

**Work Schedule**: Days, evenings, weekends

**Compensation**:
$21/hr
