Birmingham International Collegiate of Canada is a private school primarily catering to international students, and we have credit granting authority per the Ontario Ministry of Education. We are looking for a Bookkeeper who will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and processing transactions for our organization.

Reporting to the Director and Manager of Operations, the Bookkeeper will be responsible for:
Responsibilities and Duties:

- Performing reconciliations of bank accounts on a monthly basis to ensure accuracy
- Processing company payroll & T4
- Carrying out benefits administration duties
- Calculating and preparing company HST payments
- Maintaining an organized and streamlined accounting system
- Providing administrative support to management when required
- Processing accounts payable by verifying invoices for payment and remitting payment to vendors
- Processing accounts receivable by preparing customer invoices and credits, posting cash receipts, and communicating with customers regarding accounts and overdue payments

Qualifications and Skills:
To be considered for this position, you must have:

- A post-secondary degree or diploma in Accounting
- 2+ years of accounting experience
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Excel, Word, and QuickBooks
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Keen attention to detail and ability to keep records and files organized
- Strong time management skills with respect to deadlines
- Ability to identify errors and solve problems
- Fluency in Mandarin is required

Salary and Benefits:
This is a Full-Time position with a salary dependent upon experience, ranging from $37,000-$42,000 per year,. We also offer vacation and paid time off, plus an annual bonus scheme.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months

**Salary**: $37,000.00-$42,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday

**Experience**:
