News Reporter & Graphics Editor (Part time)

Fairchild Television is looking for a **creative and dynamic News Reporter** to join our fast-paced news and current affairs team. This part-time position is ideal for someone who is passionate about journalism and skilled in motion design, particularly **Adobe After Effects**, to help elevate the visual quality of our newscasts and factual programming.

**Job Duties**
- Research, report, and script news and current affairs stories in both Chinese and English
- Conduct interviews, field reporting, and translate materials between Chinese and English
- Edit video segments using Adobe Premiere
- Conceptualize and create visually engaging motion graphics and infographics for newscasts and current affairs programs
- Design and animate intros, transitions, and virtual backdrops for studio presentations
- Collaborate with producers and editors to develop accurate and functional visual storytelling elements
- Participate in the final production and studio panel for live broadcasts

**Qualifications**
- Diploma or degree in journalism, communications, design, media production, or related field
- Fluent in Cantonese and English (spoken and written); Mandarin is an asset
- Strong writing skills in both Chinese and English
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, especially After Effects, Premiere, and Photoshop
- Prior media or journalism experience preferred
- Familiar with video shooting and editing
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet tight deadlines
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Knowledge of journalism ethics and storytelling structure is a plus
