**JOB DESCRIPTION**

**SERVER/MANAGER ON DUTY**

The Local Social House is located on the waterfront in downtown Belleville. We are looking for positive, energetic, artistic and creative team members to help us serve up the best food in town The Local Social House specializes in fresh, vibrant and local ingredients, from both our kitchen and our carefully curated cocktail menu.

**JOB SUMMARY**

As a Server at The Local Social House, you are the face of the guest experience. With a warm, professional, and attentive approach, you guide guests through their visit—offering menu knowledge, thoughtful recommendations, and timely service. You are a key part of our Front of House team, working closely with the hostess team, kitchen staff, and the General Manager to deliver memorable hospitality.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, friendly, and professional service.
- Know the menu inside and out—including daily features, dietary accommodations, and chef recommendations.
- Take orders accurately and input them promptly into the POS system.
- Serve food and beverages efficiently, checking back regularly and anticipating guest needs.
- Making drinks and bartending.
- Ensure tables are properly set, cleared, and reset between guests.
- Communicate with kitchen and bar teams to coordinate timing and guest requests.
- Upsell specials, desserts, and gift cards when appropriate.
- Handle payment transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area and service stations.
- Follow all health, safety, and responsible service guidelines.

**Qualifications**:

- Previous serving experience is an asset, but not required.
- Strong communication and multitasking skills.
- Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset.
- Smart Serve certification (required).
- Available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

**REPORTS TO**
- General Manager

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $17.20 per hour

Additional pay:

- Tips

Schedule:

- Every Weekend
- Monday to Friday
