Neighbourly Pharmacy is looking for a Full-Time Postal Clerk to join our team in Pharmasave James Bay in Victoria, BC

The Postal Clerk will be responsible for managing the Canada Post counter at the store. The Postal Clerk will report into the Front Store Manager

**Responsibilities**:

- Perform a range of customer care and sales tasks to guarantee total customer satisfaction. serving clients, selling money orders, selling postage, weighing shipments, stamping envelopes
- Use a computerized point-of-sale system
- Maintain an understanding of postal products, services, and delivery at a high level
- Process financial transactions (cash, cheques, debit & credit card payments)
- Address client inquiries and concerns about postal services
- Keep the postal service facility tidy and orderly and project a respectable image to the public (eg. clean appearance, approved uniform, name badge)
- Ability to cross-sell and promote postal services and promotions to all consumers
- Ensure loss prevention practices are carried out in accordance with shop policy
- Control the inventory of cash, money orders, and stamps in compliance with the established cash handling policies and procedures
- Ensure the security of cash and mail

**Qualifications & Skills**:

- Experience in customer service in a retail environment is an asset
- Sales experience is an asset
- Customer service oriented
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Well versed with working on computer
- Register Skills
- Organized and detailed oriented
- Efficient time management skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Commitment to providing customer service
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to climb ladder
- Ability to work flexible shifts which may include weekends
