WeaverTech is a rapidly growing civil-environmental engineering consultancy. our clients include heavy industry, government and various private land developers. Built on a foundation of safety, innovation, and quality, we provide turn-key solutions to our industrial and municipal clients.
We are looking for a licensed Qualified Environmental Professional, with a minimum of 8 years of experience with contaminated sites investigation projects in British Columbia. The ideal person for this role is self-driven, engaged, and interested in leading and growing our environmental consulting team. Growth opportunities for someone in this role the potential for business partnership or profit-sharing. This position is based out of our North Vancouver Office, with a small portion of scope to include travel within Canada for client/site visits or field inspections.
**Key skills for this role include**:
- Team leadership experience, including; manage project schedules, budgets, and resources to ensure timely completion of projects
- Site Investigations (Stage 1, Stage 2, Detailed Site Investigations)
- Remediation planning and implementation
- Ministry and CSAP liaison
- Team management, report preparation and field planning
- Analytical data interpretation
- Technical knowledge of contamination fate and transport
- Superior knowledge of British Columbia environmental legislation, contaminated sites regulations, codes and standards
- Proficient at report writing and data analysis
Other desired skills and competencies include:
- Superior and demonstrated verbal and written communication skills
- University level English technical writing skills
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
- Valid driver’s license in Canada with a Clean Driver’s abstract and personal vehicle (non-negotiable)
- Canadian Citizenship or Permanent Residency
- Self-driven time management and organizational skills
- Ability to effectively interface with all levels of personnel and management.
- Ability to work and thrive in a team environment.
- Dedication to safety.
- Positive attitude and ability to self-motivate and work productively with mínimal supervision.
**Requirements**:
- Professional Engineering Designation - Registered and in Good Standing with Engineers and Geoscientists BC or other Canadian Province **(no exceptions).**
- Professional Agrologist: Registered and in good standing with BC Institute of Agrologists, with registered scope of practice in contaminated sites.
- Registered Professional Biologist: Registered and in good standing with BC College of Applied Biologists with scope of practice in contaminated sites.
- 8 Years or more on the job experience, and knowledge of local and provincial Contaminated Sites rules and regulations **(no exceptions).**
- Undergraduate degree in applied science or technology in an applicable field **(no exceptions).**
