We are looking for a Experienced - Housekeeping Associates to join our team at the **Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott West Kelowna**

Summary of Responsibilities: Reporting to the Housekeeping Supervisor, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

- Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service
- Clean all assigned guestrooms including: dusting, making beds, removal of linens from rooms, and retrieval of clean linen from linen closets, vacuuming, bathroom cleaning, inside window cleaning, replenish rooms with supplies
- Maintain proper usage of cleaning supplies and equipment
- Update and record all cleaned rooms
- Return and properly tag all lost and found articles in the Housekeeping Office
- Follow departmental policies and procedures and service standards, especially Worksafe BC policies regarding COVID-19.
- Report necessary maintenance items
- Follow all safety and sanitation policies
- Sort all linens and treat stains
- Load all laundry into washer and add specified cleaning agents
- Take wet, clean items and dry as directed
- Sort and fold or hang clean dried items
- Maintain inventory of all cleaning supplies and communicate needs to Housekeeping supervisor.
- Maintaining all laundry equipment and inform facilities manager as to any maintenance needs
- Perform additional laundry services when necessary
- Other duties as assigned

**Qualifications**:

- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
- Highly responsible & reliable
- Minimum one year Housekeeping experience is required.
- Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team with minimum supervision
- Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
- Ability to work weekends and week days an asset

**Physical Aspects of Position**

Physical aspects of the position include but are not limited to the following:

- Constant standing and walking throughout
- Frequent lifting and carrying up to 30 lbs
- Frequent kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting
- Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs and ramps

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $18.00-$18.50 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 40 per week
