**"This posting is to fill a new position"** **Job Overview** We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Retail Sales Associate to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be the face of our store, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive shopping experience for our customers. Your responsibilities will include assisting customers with their purchases, maintaining the sales floor, and contributing to the overall success of the store. 1. Primary Responsibilities: - Assist in setting up and breaking down retail floor displays and fixtures - Restock shelves, racks and maintain store inventory organization - Assist with receiving shipments and unpacking merchandise - Maintain store cleanliness, including sweeping, tidying displays, and disposing of trash - Provide support during warehouse sales and store events - Assist with packing customer purchases when needed - Follow store safety protocols and report hazards 2. Sorting and Safety: - Sort clothes, shoes, and accessories by size, type, or category - Identify and report hazards, such as blocked exits or unstable items - Keep all walkways and emergency exits clear 3. Team Collaboration: - Work closely with Team Leaders and fellow associates - Maintain a positive and adaptable attitude 4. Work Schedule: - Typical shift duration: 3-8 hours per day - Workdays: [Monday to Sunday based on schedule rotation] - Breaks: 30-minute unpaid meal break for shifts over 5 hours 5. Performance Expectations: - Be punctual and reliable for all scheduled shifts - Maintain professionalism and respect toward customers and coworkers - Follow all store policies and health & safety procedures - Demonstrate proper and accurate use of the timeclock system - Uphold store cleanliness and contribute to a productive environment 6. Physical Requirements: - Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs - Ability to stand, bend, and walk for extended periods - Comfortable working in a fast-paced, physically active setting 7. Customer Service Expectations: - Greet and assist customers when on the sales floor - Maintain a friendly and professional demeanor at all times - Contribute to a positive customer experience even if not in a customer-facing role 8. Loss Prevention Awareness: - Be alert to suspicious activity or theft and report it to management immediately - Follow company procedures when handling merchandise or working in stock areas 9. Flexibility & Availability: - Must be available for flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays - May be required to work extended hours during major events or sales 10.
