**Position Summary**

Reporting to the General Manager, the Planner is responsible for the coordination and planning of work as well as providing shift relief for Team Leads in Rankin Inlet and Arviat. This position will work with the Maintenance and Project Management teams to plan resources and materials for work ranging from $50,000 to $1,000,000 in size. This position will work closely with both teams from the estimating stage through to completion of work. The incumbent will work closely with staff located in Rankin Inlet and Arviat as well as the Procurement Department and various vendors.

**Duties & Responsibilities**
- Ensure that all work orders are planned, materials ordered and staged and labour hours are estimated for the work
- Work with project team through various stages of projects
- Cover Team Leads during time off in Rankin Inlet and Arviat
- Review tender packages
- Provide site walk-downs and inspections
- Develop scopes of work
- Read construction drawings
- Develop materials take offs
- Assist with material requisitions, researching pricing and specifications
- Updating work orders with the current status and notations
- Provide reporting on documentation on various jobs and work completed

**Qualifications**
- High School diploma
- 1 to 2 years experience working in a trades-based environment
- Experience in building maintenance and construction and asset
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
- Knowledge of Sage accounting or Sage Service Manager system an asset
- Must be able to handle confidential information in an ethical and professional manner
- Strong work ethic, positive team attitude and strong customer service focus
- Strong attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy
- Ability to respond appropriately in pressure situations with a calm and steady demeanor
- Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
- Highly conscientious, along with an energetic “can do” spirit approach to duties

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $70,000.00-$85,000.00 per year
