**About the Opportunity**
This newly created leadership role reports directly to the firm’s Executive Committee. The Director is responsible for leading key operational functions including administrative support, reception, and office management. The role directly supervises the firm’s legal assistants and paralegals, coordinating pairings, and ensuring their ability to deliver high quality administrative services. The role also oversees the office services function and manages the office facilities. In addition, the role takes a lead role in key organizational initiatives and processes on behalf of the Executive Committee including chairing organizational Committees and executing assigned operational-focused projects.
The opportunity is ideal for an experienced Office Manager or Senior Administrative Services Manager in a professional services, partner-based environment who is ready to step into a broader leadership role.
**In this role, you will**:
- Manage legal assistants and paralegals, including day-to-day oversight of assignments, work pairing, coaching, and professional development;
- Ensure strong alignment between administrative services and the needs of the team / business;
- Oversee the Central Services Manager and team responsible for centralized office services, including meeting coordination, supplies, mailroom, print services, and event support;
- Direct vendor relationships and workplace logistics, including office renovations, furniture procurement, and workspace moves;
- Manage the planning and execution of internal activities and events, including holiday celebrations and firm-wide gatherings, in partnership with relevant Committees;
- Support the Executive Committee to achieve operational goals and plans, preparing materials and following up on action items, undertaking initiatives related to office functionality and continuous improvement in administrative and office services.
- Have 7 to 10 years of progressive experience in administration or office operations within a legal services, partner-based environment;
- Have managed legal assistants and/or paralegals in a setting where support is aligned to client service teams;
- Bring proven people management skills, with a focus on engagement, service quality, and team development;
- Are highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, coordinate cross-functional projects, and deliver on time in fast-paced environments;
- Have a strong orientation to service, with exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to resolve conflicts and anticipate business needs;
- Demonstrate high attention to detail and professional judgement in managing day-to-day operations, including budget oversight and vendor coordination;
- Are collaborative, proactive, and able to partner effectively with senior leaders to ensure operational smoothness and workplace excellence.
