**Responsibilities**:
**What your day will look like**
- Net Zero Strategy Development: Collaborate with clients to develop customized net zero strategies aligned with their specific needs, objectives, and industry best practices. Conduct thorough assessments, identify opportunities for emissions reduction, and design innovative pathways to achieve net zero targets.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with diverse stakeholders, including senior executives, sustainability teams, and industry experts, to facilitate buy-in, drive awareness, and build consensus around net zero initiatives. Develop compelling presentations and deliver persuasive arguments to inspire action and foster collaboration.
- Carbon Footprint Analysis: Conduct comprehensive carbon footprint assessments for organizations, identify emission sources, and evaluate opportunities for emission reduction and offsetting. Utilize industry-leading tools and methodologies to analyze data, quantify impacts, and develop actionable recommendations.
- Policy and Regulatory Compliance: Stay abreast of evolving sustainability policies, regulations, and reporting frameworks. Guide clients through the complex landscape of net zero commitments, ensuring compliance with local and international standards and helping organizations navigate emerging carbon markets.
- Performance Monitoring and Reporting: Establish robust monitoring systems to track progress towards net zero targets. Prepare comprehensive reports that showcase achievements, identify areas for improvement, and provide recommendations for ongoing optimization.
Qualifications:
**What you will need to succeed**
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in environmental science, sustainability, engineering, or a related field.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and distill key insights.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills to effectively engage and influence stakeholders.
- Passionate about environmental sustainability and committed to making a positive impact.
- Demonstrate dedication and motivation to achieve high standards in the performance of duties.
- Committed to a culture of quality including a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to organize, prioritize and plan work to meet time-based deliverables and adapt to changing expectations.
**Experience**:
- 3+ years of proven experience in sustainability consulting, climate change mitigation, or related areas.
- Deep understanding of climate change science, greenhouse gas accounting, and net zero strategies.
- Familiarity with sustainability frameworks, such as Science-Based Targets, TCFD, and SDGs.
- Demonstrated project management abilities, including multitasking and meeting deadlines.
