**Position overview**

The Production Planning & Procurement Manager contributes to the production of high-quality products for our customers by ensuring timely, cost-effective supply chain management. The Production Planning & Procurement Manager builds comprehensive production plans and purchases all production materials. Using a people-first approach, the Production Planning and Procurement Manager will align departments within the company as well as build a high-performing team of planning and procurement professionals.

By strategically planning the purchasing of goods including identifying needs, demand planning, sourcing suppliers, negotiating contracts, and managing the overall procurement process, this cross-functional role is a key link to integrating and aligning the Sales, Operations, Growing and Logistics activities within the company.

**Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities**

Lead the development of comprehensive production plans for all crops in conjunction with Operations, Sales, and Growing and Logistics teams:

- Ensure ongoing alignment between Sales forecast and grow plans; adapt as needed
- Work collaboratively with Growing to manage and track spacing
- Monitor production quantities against grow plans

Coordinate the planning and purchase of both live goods and hard-good materials:

- Monitor inventory shortages/overages and adjust the production plans as necessary
- Review and resolve order conflicts
- Liaise between departments to ensure information is consistently and accurately communicated
- Manage supply chain relationships

Oversee production data ensuring accuracy and consistency in data input, validation, reporting and analysis:

- Support processes to ensure accurate data collection into the ERP system
- Develop and optimize internal processes

**Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities**
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, data management or related field
- Proven extensive experience in a relevant role in horticulture or manufacturing, preferably at a leadership level
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple collaborative projects simultaneously
- Proficiency in strategic resource planning, budgeting, and cost control
- Advanced Excel and ERP or database management skills
- Determined, highly organized, process-oriented team player who pays keen attention to detail
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in relevant software tools and systems
- Continuous improvement mindset

**Total Compensation**

In addition to starting compensation between $85,000 - $120,000 annually, we also offer:
