**_Urban Dirtworks Inc.,_** is a well-established multidisciplinary heavy construction firm operating out of **_Sylvan Lake, Alberta_** with work based in and around central Alberta. We specialize in underground water and sewer installation/replacement, bridge culvert installation, road construction, and drainage ditching. We offer competitive wages and a friendly working environment. We are currently looking for an experienced **_Full Time_** _Pipe Layer._*

This job entails working with PVC, HDPE and concrete pipe on various projects.

**_Job duties include but are not limited to:_**
- Set up center and track line for a pipe trench
- Excavation and placement of manholes and catch basins
- Using pipe laser to maintain proper grade for concrete pipe
- Grade or level trench bases, using tamping machines and hand tools
- Able to direct operators around underground utilities safely
- Comply with established company policies/procedures and OH&S regulations
- Assist other employees when required

**_Experience Requirements_**
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s Licence
- 2 + years’ experience as a Pipe Layer
- Experience working in the construction industry
- Understand elevations and grading
- CSTS, Ground Disturbance Level 2, First Aid, H2S, Confined Space and asset but will provide training.
- Self-motivated and able to complete tasks with mínimal supervision
- Strong work ethic with demonstrated dedication and reliability
- Strong problem solving and decision making capabilities
- Must be able to work as a member of a team

**Job Types**: Full-time, Seasonal

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Overtime
- Weekends as needed

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Sylvan Lake, AB: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
