**Job Profile**

The Saw Operator is responsible for maintaining and operating the equipment in a safe manner.

**Primary Responsibilities**
- Interpretation of plans, specifications or drawings (Blueprints) of products or parts to Be manufactured.
- Mark dimensions and understand tolerances for parts
- Operate power saw and use hand tools to cut, shape and form parts and components
- Inspects and ensures the quality of the parts produced
- Other tasks as assigned by Supervisor

**General Expectations**
- Follow prescribed safety standards, rules and regulations
- Participate in safety culture; lead by example
- Identify non-conformities and participate in their resolution
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives
- Recommend improvements and participate in improvement plans in production methods, equipment, operating procedures and working conditions
- Maintain a well-organized and clean facility as per Prairie Machine vision
- Maintain all equipment and tools per recommended procedures
- Maintain a healthy work environment

**Qualifications**
- Strong mathematical skillset, good with calculations
- Experience with set-up & nesting software
- Ability to monitor and operate CNC plasma machine
- Overhead crane experience
- Strong attention to detail
- 1-2 years previous experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience with Epicor would be an asset
