Position Summary
The Die Cut operator is responsible for the safe operation of the die-cutting machines. To ensure that the cutting machine efficiently cuts the product as per the specifications and performs routine maintenance on the equipment.
Primary Responsibilities are, but not limited to:
- Tear down and set up jobs to be run
- Instruct feeder when assistance is required with tear down and set up
- Put matrix or counter plates in place
- Adjust for proper cutting pressure
- Check position, cutting, creases and stripping units when used
- Set the front end of the machine
- Call area leader or production foreman for job inspection and approval to run
- Keep a constant check on quality and position
- Make sure the feeder has all materials ready for next job
- Complete quality inspection samples
- Complete job information on the factory ticket and verify sheet count to the press operator’s figure
- Enter data into a computer or instruct the feeder to do so
- Keep the area clean and neat and ensure machinery maintenance is up to date
- Ensure all safety and personal protection equipment is in place and properly used
- Other duties as may be required
Education, Skills, and Experience:
- High school diploma
- 1 + years’ experience in the industry
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of various computer software programs
**Salary**: $20.00-$30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week

- Ingersoll, ON N5C 2K9: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
**Education**:
- Secondary School (preferred)
**Experience**:
- Manufacturing: 1 year (required)
