**Overview**
Reporting to the Manager, Natural Procurement, the Merchandising & Marketing Coordinator plays a key role in supporting the strategic development and execution of marketing initiatives tailored to various categories at individual retail banners.

Based in Surrey, British Columbia, this role will ensure the timely development and accurate execution of merchandising and advertising plans tailored to each banner, with the goal of enhancing category performance and increasing overall sales.

**Responsibilities**:

- Develop and co-ordinate the Merchandising/Advertising planner by retail banner for specific banner needs
- Work closely with Banner leads as well as BC specific vendors to best allocation of spend by banner to drive sales and profit for both wholesale and retail.
- Work with the procurement team/department to ensure all activity is communicated for best fill rate to retail as possible
- Work closely with vendors to perform category reviews, sales, pricing, market analysis and operational efficiencies
- Co-ordinate and conduct vendor performance reviews to ensure we are meeting our mutual budgeted objectives
- Research current trends and related developments in the field through industry sources. (ie. Conferences and Tradeshows)
- Work closely with the Marketing Assistant to ensure the Industry Reviewer Bookings and Seasonal Reviewer Bookings go to print on time and are accurate
- Resolving customers (retail banners) question, requests and or concerns with a focus on providing great customer service

**Required Skills & Experience**
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in retail grocery management or retail sales
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (excel, word, outlook)
- Have outstanding organizational and planning skills

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $54,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
