**Job Summary**:
A Produce Clerk’s responsibilities include making sure that the produce is always fresh and in good condition. They inspect what the store sells, checking to be sure it has no defects before preparing an arrangement of their choice on store shelves. Ultimately, you will be responsible for the quality of produce displayed in our store and ensuring a great shopping experience for our customers.

**Duties/Responsibilities**:

- Assist customers with the appropriate produce item to assist with purchasing decisions
- Ensure the store is clean, safe and ready for shoppers
- Keep shelves fully stocked with fresh products; stock, cull, and replenish produce and related products to shelves
- Wrap and place merchandise in bags / carts
- Maintaining and building various Produce Department displays
- Rotation, loading and unloading of Produce Department product
- Backroom and inventory management
- Assist with other departmental functions which include but are not limited to rotating, stocking, cleaning and maintaining the appearance and organization of the store
- Performs other related duties as assigned

**Required Skills/Abilities**:

- Proven customer service or retail experience is a plus
- Great attention to detail
- Good communication and people skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
- Available to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays

**Education and Experience**:

- High school diploma or equivalent preferred

**Physical Requirements**:

- Must be able to stand during scheduled shift, withstand repetitive walking, reaching, and bending for long periods of time
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds at times
