JOB OVERVIEW

Jake's House is seeking a motivated Employer Engagement Specialist comfortable working within a government-supported employment mentoring program with provincially mandated placement goals that align with Jake's House initiatives. The successful incumbent will be responsible for securing meaningful employment placements for individuals with autism and developmental disabilities throughout Ontario (Toronto, London and Ottawa). Reporting directly to the Director of Operations and Strategic Projects, this position will identify and research new employer partnership opportunities by bringing awareness of Jake's House Employment Mentoring Program & Capabilities & Life Skills Training Program; that provides participants with employment skills for lasting successful career placements.

Reporting directly to the Director of Operations and Strategic Projects, the Employer Engagement Specialist will identify and research new employer partnership opportunities. In addition, the New Business Account Executive will design a persuasive approach and proposal to ensure a positive outcome for all parties.

Competitive compensation package, consisting of a base salary between $50,000 - $60,000 (commensurate upon experience) + commission.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Relationship-building, engaging consultative approach in order to achieve sales-oriented targets that meet the goals of Jake’s House Employment Mentoring Program.
- Ability to passionately and clearly articulate value/benefit of hiring individuals on the spectrum and developmental delays by providing educational information sessions.
- Clearly communicate the profile of the client companies to Director of Employment Workshops and EMP Manager and strategize, implement solution or tools to best support employee engagement.
- Build and maintain relationships with partners, clients and all community stakeholders to keep pace with emerging market trends.
- Solicit opportunities to speak before professional organizations and business groups.
- Participate in the maintenance, development and implementation of policies and procedures.
- Perform cross functional, and other management and team duties as assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in project management, Communications, Business, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience working within recruitment, Sales, project management or corporate environments.
- A valid G or G2 driver’s license with reliable transportation
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and conflict resolution skills with an ability to deal effectively with multiple stakeholders.
- Excellent written and verbal skills, with the ability to write concise, persuasive, and accurate copy and deliver strong presentations to management and partners.
- Proven experience or a strong interest in working within a fast-growing, dynamic entrepreneurial environment; able to multi-task on concurrent projects.
- Self-motivated, proactive, resourceful, and results-driven; little supervision required to achieve goals.
- Proficient with MS Office software programs (e.g. Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.).
- Detail-oriented and strong organizational skills; striving for high quality results in all situations.
- Kind and empathetic with a passion for people - understanding the individuals and families we support always come first.
- Able to travel to attend meetings as required, within Ontario.
