Mill/planer Opertaor

We are hiring **Planer**/**Mill Operator **in our **UHMW Finishing Department **for one of our clients located in Orangeville**.** This position is responsible for set up and operation of milling machines and processes in a plastic manufacturing environment.

**Essential Functions**:

- Planer/Mill Operator is responsible for the set up, operation and troubleshooting of milling machines and processes.
- Planer/Mill Operator is responsible for measuring all dimensions of the parts being produced and completing first article and process inspections.
- Plaining/Milling process consists of a conveyor belt and digital controller to set the machines required thickness.

**Required Skills**:

- A Minimum of 2 - 3 years’ experience in a continuous process manufacturing environment
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to work with mínimal supervision.
- Forklift experience and certification would be an asset
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs

**Rate of Pay**

Depending on knowledge, skills, abilities, experiences both work and educational the rate starts at $20.00 - $24.

**Shifts**

**Permanent, Full Time Position**

12 hr continental day/night shift, with 4-week turnaround

Averaging agreements in place

84 hrs biweekly

with opportunity for OT
