**Job Summary**
**Responsibilities**
- Greet and welcome guests as they arrive, ensuring a friendly and professional demeanor.
- Manage the seating chart and coordinate with servers to optimize table turnover.
- Assist guests with reservations and provide information about menu offerings.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host/host area.
- Answer phone calls promptly, providing information about wait times and menu items.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and servers to ensure smooth service.
- Handle guest inquiries or concerns with professionalism and courtesy.
- Support the restaurant team during busy periods by assisting with guest services as needed.
**Skills**
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction.
- Excellent communication abilities, both verbal and non-verbal.
- Experience with POS systems is preferred but not required.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Knowledge of food service operations within a restaurant or hospitality setting is advantageous.
- Strong phone etiquette for handling reservations and inquiries effectively.
- A positive attitude and willingness to help both guests and team members.
