Parts Person

We are looking for a motivated person to be a member of our Fleet Department team. We run a busy in-house heavy truck maintenance facility overseeing 200 vehicles. We need someone who is experienced, self-motivated, and can work under mínimal supervision and who is seeking a new challenge everyday.

**Key Responsibilities;-**
- To ensure the daily parts requirements of the maintenance shop are met, and the stocking inventory is controlled and maintained
- Responsible for stock handling, identifying and cataloging parts
- Responsible for the ordering, receiving, picking up, and sorting of all parts
- Prepares, generates, picks, and ships all orders
- Responsible for the loading and unloading of all parts
- Thorough understanding and identifying of all parts required and ability of researching required parts
- Knowledge and use of hand tools, power tools, and measuring equipment
- Handle incoming parts inquiries from technicians
- Recommend alternate products based on cost, availability or specifications
- Ability to process returns and warranty parts
- Comprehension of brake, air, hydraulic, engine, suspension, emission and driveline components of heavy duty trucks.
- Ability to interpret parts diagrams and various reference materials
- Consistently demonstrates excellent customer service while building and maintaining strong relationships with vendors and staff
- Required to complete all paperwork associated with a fleet maintenance facility
- Other duties as required

**Knowledge, Skills & Competencies: -**
- Minimum of 1 - 2 years related industry experience in heavy trucks
- Red Seal Journeyperson certification would be an asset
- Familiarity with parts procurement
- Previous Parts Department experience, both front counter and back office
- **_Afternoon Shift ( Monday to Friday : - 12:00 pm to 8:30pm)._**:

- Experience with Fleet Maintenance and/or Parts Inventory control software
- Proficient with computers and has the ability to analyze and interpret basic parts reports
- Ability to work unsupervised
- Self-starter with the ability to prioritize and organize workload in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent attention to detail with an ability to meet tight deadlines
- Excellent communication skills
- Must be physically able to lift up to 50lbs
- Forklift experience would be an asset
- Valid driver’s license.
