Associate Analyst, Product Management

The Analyst, Product Management in a leading financial service provider will report to a Manager, Product Management, and will be responsible for defining business requirements, developing test scenarios, and documenting procedures for technology solutions. The role involves collaborating with clients and development teams to ensure successful software implementation and ongoing usage, while also resolving issues, conducting training sessions, and providing guidance to other analysts.

Key Job Functions/Responsibilities- Interview customer users to identify business problems and requirements of new software- Interview other Broadridge employees (and possibly third parties such as CDS, TSX, vendors, etc.) to obtain further insight into business problems- Analyze conflicting requirements from different users, prioritize them, and develop business-oriented software requirements- Liaise with the development team on the initiatives provided to you and lead the development priorities for your defined product areas- Document and present the results of the above processes in a form that is meaningful to customers and the development team- As the solution owner, monitor the SDLC progress to ensure smooth implementation from start to finish- Resolve any oversights or ambiguities in the original specification- Unit test all new system changes initiated by the development team- Review the finished product with customers and confirm that all business requirements have been met- Present your products at internal information sessions-
- Provide guidance to other business analysts and product team members- Participate/lead larger scale, more complex projects

Basic Skill Level Requirements
- Education:_- University degree in Computer Science, Economics, Business Administration or equivalent work experience- Training in system integration life cycle methodologies- CFA designation or enrollment beneficial- CSC or IFIC certification beneficial
- Experience:_- 3+ years’ experience in the financial/brokerage industry,
- Skills/Tools:_- Analytical skills with financial/brokerage experience and specifically, the securities industry, problem identification including business impact, business processes and procedures, cost/benefit analysis- Testing skills including creating business test cases and building test plans- Interpersonal skills including building consensus, negotiation and facilitation- Strong communication skills such as client interviewing, business writing, developing and delivering presentations- Training skills: development and delivery of training- Design Skills, data modeling, process modeling, knowledge of wireframes and prototyping- Knowledge of MS Access, SQL, and/or OpenEdge ABL (PROGRESS) would be beneficial
