_Job Summary:_
- We are searching for a dedicated and skilled Female Basketball Coach to become a crucial part of our team. As leaders and mentors, we provide at-risk youth with a safe, inclusive, fun recreational basketball program. Your passion for the community and ability to work with athletes of all skill levels will be instrumental in our team's success. Night Hoops is not an elite or high-performance basketball program but a welcoming environment that allows kids and youth to make friends and learn life skills beyond basketball._
- Your responsibilities as a Coach:_
- Plan and conduct engaging practices that focus on skill development, teamwork, and strategy_
- Facilitate an environment where life lessons/skills are explored to help players expand their knowledge of social-emotional learning._
- Create game plans and strategies to maximize team performance during competitions._
- Foster a positive and inclusive team culture that promotes sportsmanship, respect, and teamwork_
- Collaborate with other coaches and staff members to coordinate team activities, schedules, and events_
- Communicate effectively with players, parents, and staff members regarding team updates, expectations, and goals_
- Skills:_
- Strong knowledge of basketball rules, techniques, strategies, and gameplay_
- Ability to effectively teach and educate players of beginner and intermediate skill levels_
- Excellent communication skills to effectively _**convey instructions and provide feedback**_
- Strong _**leadership**_ _skills to motivate and inspire players to perform at their best_
- Organizational skills to plan practices, games, and team activities_
- Job Type: Seasonal_
- Contract length: _ASAP-march 22, Apr 3- Jun 13 and future programs
- Pay: $500-750 honorarium per Contract paid at the end of Contract_
- Expected hours: No less than 2 per week_
