**Position Summary**:
The Team Lead, Warehouse coordinates employees within the warehouse department. Follows established procedures and guidelines to receive, handle, store, record, and dispatch goods in a store or warehouse. Picks, packs, and dispatches outgoing goods according to written or verbal requests or orders. Enters data into a database or other computerized system to maintain up-to-date stock records. Retrieves stored information to respond to inquiries (i.e., inventory levels and delivery schedules).
Measures of success:
- On-Time Delivery as a % of shipments late and on time
- Month End Shipping Revenue as a dollar value to budgeted goal
- Past Due Dollar Amount as a dollar value to budgeted goal
- Inventory Accuracy as a % of adjustments/moves
- Transactional Accuracy as a % of total transactions
- Customer Service as it relates to warehouse customer feedback
- PO Receipt-Put Away Timeliness by managing working queue completeness
**Responsibilities**:
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Performs daily scheduling of picks to the pickers in the warehouse through hotlist, expedited orders, and supervisor guidance
- Audits all shipments prior to shipping and ensures pallet counts, bills of lading (BOLs) and packing lists match, and that buddy checks are complete
- Completes daily operations requirement by assigning employees and following up on daily results
- Oversees all shipping activities
- Supports outgoing logistics with both carriers and customers
- Assists in processing and resolving shipping capacity daily activities
- Works with all managers and colleagues to resolve shipping issues
- Maintains and organizes the warehouse as a clean and safe environment
**Qualifications**
Required:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years of warehouse experience
- Knowledge of warehouse operations
- Ability to operate multiple forklifts or other warehouse machinery
- Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems and utilizing software to drive warehouse data/operations, including the ability to navigate multiple windows in company ERP system to access production and resource data
- Effective conflict management and decision-making skills
- Ability to perform repetitive work requiring constant alertness or activity, and including standing and lifting
- Ability to manage time effectively to meet strict time deadlines and production volumes
- Ability to provide guidance and leadership to subordinates and peers alike
- Requires judgment to comply with instructions, prescribed routines, methods and practices
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including early mornings and evenings
Preferred:
- College level diploma or certificate program
- 4+ years of warehouse experience
- 1+ year of leading a team
- Forklift certification
- Lean 5S certification
**Work Environment**
This position works in an office environment where computers and technology are used and a warehouse environment where large equipment and noise are prevalent. Safety gear is required in these areas. Verbal and auditory capability are required.
This position reports into the site every day.
**Management**
This role has no direct reports as this time.
