The IT Asset & Configuration Management Specialist will ensure the overall data integrity of the Asset & Configuration Management databases and oversee the related day-to-day operational activities. Manages, controls, and protects the organization's IT assets (i.e. Infrastructure Hardware, Company-Owned devices, In-house Software, or Applications & Software Licenses) throughout their life cycle, from acquisition through final disposition. In addition, develops, and implements the organization's asset management strategy. Review and maintain CMDB (Configuration Management Database) to monitor and manage all devices and assets. Identify the best use through auditing of database and hardware. Review the effectiveness and efficiency of the process, perform process audits and manage the process improvement cycle. Provide direction and oversight for the CMDB system. In this critical role you will be supporting ongoing asset discovery and mapping, development, and administration of the configuration management environment and with the deployment of its discovery agents to integrate and reconcile asset discovery data with the CMDB.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support design, development, and implementation of automated processes for gathering, populating, and maintaining CMDB data.- Enact system audit practices and conduct audits to ensure data integrity, and identify and mitigate gap(s) and risks in the CMDB by providing concise solutions.- Reconcile the CMDB data when exceptions are noted between CMDB, discovery information, and other authoritative production data repositories.- Provide input and will be responsible for the creation of policy, process, and procedures for the lifecycle management of the configuration DB.- Mapping IT CI configurations and their relationships across the DB and their interconnections which spans multiple geographical locations.- Using a variety of tools to discover, track, and maintain, information in the CMDB and from/to other integrated systems.- Create and maintain CMDB architecture and technical design documentation to effectively support other ITSM processes.- Identify problems with configuration data and find technical and process-based solutions to cleanse the data for efficient and accurate usage and drive the solutions to these problems to successful conclusions.- Build positive relationships in CMDB to ensure high levels of service with the ability to meet service level agreements.- Utilize CMDB/Asset Management to support all process management and maintain CMDB integrity, reporting, maturity, and governance activities/documentation.- Ability to define core and critical attributes for Application CI's with the CMDB and support the management of Application based CI's during the asset lifecycle-
- Establish and build relationships with other process owners, applicable tool owners, and stakeholders to understand business objectives, data structure, and how CMDB and Asset Management processes will best support the enterprise and process-specific objectives.- Review and maintain CMDB (Configuration Management Database) to monitor and manage all devices and assets. Identify the best use through auditing of database and hardware.- Ensure that the Asset / CMDB is complete and accurate and available to support incidents, problems, changes, and planning activities- Ensure that the IT asset lifecycle is followed from the ordering process, through asset tagging, record collection and maintenance, and disposal process- Ensure that asset decommissioning is performed on a timely basis and complies with Agropur policies and procedures protecting Agropur information assets- Continuous improvement of IT Asset management processes and Asset / CMDB data model and relationships- Manage enterprise software license agreements ensuring alignment between entitlement and consumption- Actively encourage users in making more effective use of IT assets to enable them to work more efficiently- Ensure solution design and process consistency and continuity across the CMDB- Design, implement, and manage the integration of the CMDB with other systems that receive CMDB data

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or related field preferred.- An equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered.- A minimum of 5 years of working experience and/or equivalent working knowledge of IT Asset Management processes and procedures- A minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience working with and managing Configuration
