_Pelly Construction Ltd. is a privately owned and operated contract mining company based in Whitehorse, Yukon. Over the past 35 years Pelly has successfully completed many substantial earth moving projects, mine development & infrastructure, and environmental reclamation projects._

**BLASTER**

**Reporting to the Site Superintendent, the Blaster is responsible** for providing the operation to drill blast holes in rock at road or other construction sites. This is a 2 weeks on/2 weeks off rotation with an option of 4 weeks on/2 weeks off in a remote camp setting.

**Requirements (including but not limited to)**:

- Current up to date BC Blast Certification,
- Experience loading explosives in blast holes,
- Experience handling, storing and transporting explosives in accordance with regulations and ensure that safety procedures are observed,
- Experience with road construction,
- Operate two-way radios and other communication equipment,
- Other duties may be assigned by your Supervisor, as required,
- Must be able to work under pressure,
- Have attention to detail,
- Working in various weather conditions.
