**JOB SUMMARY**:
Reporting to the Community Events Coordinator, this position provides customer service through the implementation of public skate sessions, hosting birthday parties, interaction with parents and children along with other private event activities. In addition, can be skate patrol for on-ice supervision to ensure a safe environment for participants. Other duties as required. Duties are conducted in a professional and courteous manner.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Provide customer service to all guests that come to Public Skate or private events
- Able to communicate effectively with children and adults.
- Work independently as a member of our customer service team.
- Provide support to the Events team for Special Events/Birthday Parties as requested.
- Maintain a tidy, organized and safe work environment
- Supervise skating participants to ensure a safe and enjoyable environment.
- Miscellaneous other duties as required

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Enjoy working with the public in a customer service role, in all age/demographic groups
- Interested in working in an environment which is fast paced and always changing
- Adaptable and able to communicate effectively with both customers and staff
- Experience in a recreation environment will be considered an asset.
- Prior skating experience will be considered an asset
- Cash handling experience

**EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION**:

- Excellent oral and written communication skills (English), neat in appearance, professional in attitude and understands the sensitivity of confidential information
- Must be thorough, organized, articulate and punctual
- Must work well under pressure and pay particular attention to details
- Ability to work flexible schedules, primarily evenings & weekends
- Criminal background check is required
