The Custodian Associate is responsible for performing custodial duties, minor maintenance and other miscellaneous duties ensuring that all employees, customers, clients, volunteers, and donors are exposed to a clean, safe, sanitary, comfortable, modern, and respectful building. The Custodian Associate will contribute to Goodwill's mission by ensuring that all employees, customers, clients, volunteers, and donors are exposed to a clean, safe, comfortable and respectful building and grounds, while on Goodwill property.

**What You Will Do**
- Conducting a thorough inspection of the cleanliness of the entire facility on every shift.
- Follows the Customer Care Cycle (I Care) consistently providing world class customer service to all customers, internal and external, of Goodwill.
- Completing all tasks on the janitorial schedule in a timely manner.
- Promptly addressing unscheduled/urgent janitorial issues (e.g.: spills), as well as items brought forward by site employees.
- Ensuing that the needs of other people in the facility are not interrupted by janitorial tasks.
- Preparing cleaning solutions and supplies for use, following all safety requirements and work best practices.
- Ensuring that bathrooms are kept clean and stocked with supplies (i.e.: soap, toiletries).
- Sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, scrubbing and shampooing floors and carpets.
- Cleaning and polishing all furniture and fixtures.
- Dusting furniture, walls, doors, decor, blinds, and other items as appropriate.
- Maintain security by monitoring customers and reporting suspicious activities to supervisor.
- Cleaning interior windows, glass partitions and mirrors.
- Sanitizing and cleaning doors, walls, and other touch points.
- Maintaining a professional appearance and positive attitude.
- Responding appropriately to emergency situations.
- Following all safety standards set out in legislation and/or Goodwill policies.
- Be actively involved in the health, well-being and safety of themselves and their team.
