**Essential Functions**

**Lead & Inspire**: Oversee the recruitment, training, coaching, and management of aquatic staff and volunteers, creating a motivated and capable team.

**Deliver Excellence**: Ensure programs consistently exceed YMCA standards to enhance member retention and satisfaction.

**Plan & Execute**: Collaborate with the Program Manager and Aquatics Operations Coordinators to establish and adhere to annual budgets and program priorities while driving strategic goals.

**Drive Innovation**: Adapt programs and services to align with YMCA Canada updates, community requirements, and best practices.

**Build Relationships**: Cultivate positive partnerships with staff, volunteers, and external stakeholders to strengthen community connections.

**Support Operations**: Assist the General Manager with branch operations across assigned Health, Fitness, & Aquatics (HFA) Centres.

**What You'll Need**
- ** Experience**:Minimum 2 years in a program leadership role, ideally in recreation or aquatics.
- ** Education**:A degree in Recreation, Physical Education, or a related field is an asset.
- ** Certifications**:

- ** Required**:Intermediate First Aid & CPR-C, National Lifeguard (NL) Pool, and either YMCA Swim Instructor (YSI) OR Lifesaving Instructor (LSI).
- ** Preferred**:Aquatics Emergency Care (AEC), National Coaching Certification (NCCP), and leadership certifications such as Aquatic Supervisor Training (AST) or National Lifeguard Instructor (NLI).
- ** Additional Requirements**:Lifesaving Swim Instructor (LSI) and YMCA Champion - Aquatics within 1 year of hire; Oxygen Administration (O2) within 6 months of hire.
- ** Skills**:Strong leadership, excellent communication, and the ability to foster collaborative relationships.
- ** Integrity**:Ability to pass a Police Information Check with a Vulnerable Sector Check and maintain certification-level requirements.
