Follow each resident's care plan, observing and reporting any substantial findings or changes to the nursing staff on duty
- Assist in ambulation, toileting, bathing and perineal care, as well as dressing and grooming
- Assist registered staff in answering call bells
- Perform housekeeping tasks such as room cleaning and general sanitizing
- Administer medication under the direction of an RPN
- Be able to work and stay organized under pressure.
- Be able to adapt to change and remain flexible.
- Be able to work with and understand the needs of residents in various stages of the aging process.
- Have experience in providing general care and support.
- Be proficient in oral and written communication.
- Have excellent listening and interpersonal skills.
- Have previous experience as a UCP or be prepared to complete the required training and comfortable with medication administration.
- Have a Personal Support Worker certificate from a recognized institution or organization.
- Experience in housekeeping will be an asset.

Recent Vulnerable Sectors check and TB test will be required upon hire.
