Pharmacy Assistant

New Hope Pharmacy is looking for a Pharmacy Assistant to join our team in Stoughton, Saskatchewan.
**Patient Focused Care Responsibilities**:

- Support pharmacists and pharmacy technicians in providing high-quality patient care
- Greet customers and answer phone calls in a professional manner
- Assist with entering, labelling, and packaging prescriptions under the supervision of a pharmacist or pharmacy technician
- Accurately count, measure, and package medications according to established protocols
- Receive and stock medication and supply shipments, monitor inventory levels, rotate stock, and support inventory audits
- Keep the pharmacy area clean and organized; safely dispose of expired medications and hazardous waste in accordance with regulations
- Perform clerical tasks such as filing, faxing, scanning, and assist with insurance claims and prescription transfers
- Assist with daily pharmacy operations and perform other duties as assigned

**Qualifications**:

- Previous Pharmacy Assistant experience in a retail pharmacy with a preliminary understanding of the pharmacy business is preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to thrive in a team environment
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and pharmacy software, Kroll is an asset.
- Ability to stand for long periods and occasional lifting of boxes/containers
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed

**Schedule**:

- 20 to 24 hours per week (Part-time)
- The store operates Monday to Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and on Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
- Regular shifts will be scheduled within these days and hours.
