**What You’ll Do**:
**You’ll act with integrity to**:

- Support the facilitation of the LAO attendance support and disability management programs for both occupational (WSIB) and non-occupational illness and/or disabilities including assisting with follow-up, monitoring and tracking claims and costs, and preparing correspondence and documentation such as return to work and work accommodation
- Support WSIB programs and all related follow up and audit of claims through to payroll processing.
- Generate and prepare reports related to disability management, as required.
- Administer the Long-Term Disability process and completion of Employer statement with the carrier within prescribed timelines.

**You'll support our collaboration as you**:

- Schedule and facilitate return-to-work and accommodation meetings and conduct ongoing monitoring of these plans.
- Communicate and liaise with employees, managers, and HRC in relation to on-going disability management cases and monitoring of absence cases.
- Follow up on required paperwork, supporting documentation, medical information, and RTW Data including liaising with medical professionals, disability management policyholder and potential third-party independent assessment professionals.

**How You Qualify**:
**You demonstrate excellence through your**:

- A University degree or equivalent in related field i.e., Disability Management Certification, Occupational Health and Safety, Human Resources, or related
- A minimum of three (3) to five (5) years progressive experience with managing disability claims.
- CHRP designation is considered an asset.
- Working knowledge of relevant legislation, such as the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA), Workplace Safety and Insurance Act (WSIA), Ontario Employment Standards Act (ESA), Ontario Human Rights Code and the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA).
- Superior interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to clearly communicate expectations and decisions.
- Proven analytical, decision making and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated ability to exercise good judgement, tact, and discretion.
- Ability to manage difficult discussions or situations.
- Demonstrated strong customer service skills.
- Ability to remain flexible, work as part of a team as well as independently.
