Are you energetic, creative, and love working with kids? The Makery, in Sherwood Park, is looking for a **Play Ambassador** to help lead engaging, hands-on activities. We offer a variety of experiences for children ages 2 - 12 years old. Imagine getting paid to play, make slime, run fun camps, and think up fun activities that will engage children.

**About The Makery**

We’re a **S.T.E.A.M-focused play centre** offering creative, movement-based, and hands-on experiences for preschool and elementary-aged children. Our space includes:

- **Mess Lab** - Process-based art, sensory play, and slime making
- **STEM Lab** - Building, problem-solving, and exploration
- **Move Lab** - Active play, balance, and coordination
- **Light Lab** - Glow-in-the-dark and illuminated play

**What You’ll Do**
- Lead and supervise children in fun, engaging activities across all our labs
- Support camps and PD day programs with hands-on facilitation
- Assist in running our before/after school programming
- Ensure a safe, inclusive, and positive environment for all participants
- Help with set-up and clean-up of activities (some messy fun included)
- Collaborate with our team to create new and exciting experiences for kids
- Help run special events during seasonal periods (Halloween, Christmas, etc)
- Assist in keeping the space organized, clean and sanitized

**What We’re Looking For**
- Experience working with children is a must (day camps, child care, etc)
- Energetic, friendly, and creative personality
- Ability to adapt and think on your feet
- Comfortable leading small and large groups in a playful and engaging way
- Creative and crafty, enjoys getting messy
- First Aid/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain) & criminal record check
- Background in early childhood, recreation, education, art, or child development an asset

**Availability & Compensation**
- Must be available for shifts between **7:00 AM - 5:30 PM**(shifts may fall on any day of the week, including occasional weekends, but will be a max of 5 days per week).
- Hourly wage starts at **$20.00 per hour**:

- **Health benefits available** after 3 months of employment (50/50 split cost between you and Makery)

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 40 per week
